About
The Macomb County Veterans Services Department was established through the Michigan Legislature Public Act 192 of 1953. The department was created by the County Board of Commissioners and is under administration by the County Veteran Service Commission. Public Act 192 of 193. The department is fully funded by the Macomb County Veterans Millage.
Our goal is to provide outstanding service to the Veterans and their families who reside in Macomb County by maximizing the receipt of Veterans benefits and eliminating or reducing the frustration and confusion that go along with the process. The mission of our professional staff is to provide accurate, efficient and timely services to ensure delivery of benefits.
Veterans Services helps veterans get the benefits they deserve including but not limited to:
- Burial allowance
- Dependency
- Compensation for service-related death
- Grave markers
- Death pensions
- Medal requests
- Burial in national cemetery
- Education for spouse and children
